This H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Flying Hours is a striking reinterpretation of one of watchmaking's more unusual complications, from a maison known for its inventive, pared-back approach to haute horlogerie. In place of conventional hands, it tells the time through Moser's satellite "Flying Hours" display: three hour discs hidden beneath the dial reveal the current hour through a single window, while a central disc sweeps the minutes across a 120-degree arc. This version advances the idea with an instantaneous jumping hour, so the hour snaps cleanly from one window to the next for immediate legibility. Powered by the in-house automatic calibre HMC 240, it offers a three-day power reserve and an in-house hairspring, its anthracite-finished movement visible through the back. The steel case measures 42.8mm across and 14.2mm in thickness, sporty and substantial on the wrist. A white fumé dial, fading from a bright centre to smoky grey edges, is a Moser signature and lets the discs take centre stage. An inventive, quietly technical watch with genuine visual drama.
