This A. Lange & Söhne reference 320.028 is the Lange 1 Daymatic in white gold, wearing the blue dial of the 2017 Blue Series. It is the self-winding reinterpretation of the house's defining Lange 1: where the original is hand-wound, the Daymatic mirrors that famous asymmetric layout and winds automatically, trading the power-reserve display for a retrograde day-of-the-week indication while keeping Lange's signature outsize date. Inside is the in-house automatic calibre L021.1, one of the manufacture's comparatively few self-winding movements, finished to the exacting Saxon standard and on view through the sapphire back. The 18k white gold case measures 39.5mm in height and width with a thickness of 10.4mm, restrained and comfortable on the wrist. The solid-silver blue dial carries applied white gold numerals and rhodiumed gold hands.
