Introduced in 2006, the A. Lange and Sohne Datograph Perpetual Calendar ref. 410.025E in platinum with a gray (silver) dial represents a pinnacle of German haute horlogerie. Powered by the hand‑wound calibre L952.1, this movement merges a flyback chronograph with a perpetual calendar and moonphase, all rendered with the brand’s signature three‑quarter plate in untreated German silver and exquisite hand‑finishing. The 41 mm platinum case, measuring approximately 13.5 mm thick, houses a sapphire display back that reveals the architectural depth and artisanal decoration of the 556‑component movement. The perpetual calendar module features a patented single‑pawl switching mechanism and an oversized date display, while the moonphase is accurate to within one day over 122 years. Produced only until around 2011, this reference is highly regarded among collectors for its technical complexity, restrained elegance, and rarity in platinum. Like New with A.
