Lange & Söhne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon, reference 740.036FE, marks the first time the manufactory combined its three most significant complications in a single watch, and in platinum it was made in a limited run of just 100 pieces. Powered by the hand-wound calibre L952.2, it brings together a flyback chronograph, a perpetual calendar, and a tourbillon fitted with Lange's patented stop-seconds mechanism, the tourbillon placed on the reverse where its finishing can be admired. The platinum case measures 41.5mm across and 14.6mm in thickness, a substantial and commanding size befitting a watch of this depth. A black dial with rhodiumed-gold hands and markers lends the piece a purposeful, understated character. A landmark of modern German haute horlogerie and one of the most accomplished watches Lange has produced.
