This Audemars Piguet reference 25718BA is the yellow gold Jules Audemars Tourbillon, introduced in 1991 as the first self-winding tourbillon to carry both a date and a power-reserve display — a bold statement of AP's complication craft at a time when few houses built tourbillon wristwatches at all. Made as a small numbered series, it remains genuinely rare. The self-winding calibre 2875 is wound from the back so the case sides stay clean and uninterrupted, the tourbillon turning in an aperture at six. The 18k yellow gold case measures 39mm in height and width with a thickness of 10.5mm, its convex bezel and teardrop lugs framing a size that was ahead of its time. The white dial sets a Roman-numeral hours register at twelve above recessed date and power-reserve sub-dials.
