This Cartier Tank à Guichets, reference WGTA0236, is a platinum revival of one of the maison's most avant-garde designs, first introduced in 1928 and reissued as part of the exclusive Cartier Privé collection. Its defining feature is the display: rather than hands, the time is read through two apertures, or guichets, cut into the brushed case — a jumping hour at twelve o'clock and dragging minutes at six — lending the watch a quietly mechanical, almost architectural character. Powered by the hand-wound manufacture calibre 9755 MC, developed specifically for this model, it keeps the design pure and the case exceptionally slim. The platinum case measures 38mm in height, 25mm in width, and just 6mm in thickness, wearing with discreet, refined presence and its crown set at twelve. Burgundy numerals bring warmth to the platinum. A distinctive and collectible revival of a true Cartier original.
