The MB and F LM101 reference 51.S1L.W, introduced in 2021, represents a rare stainless steel iteration of the iconic Legacy Machine 101, distinguished by its striking blue dial and refined technical upgrades. This compact 40 mm timepiece houses MB and F’s first fully in‑house caliber, conceived and finished in collaboration with master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen, and features a monumental 14 mm flying balance wheel with a Straumann double hairspring for enhanced precision. The dial side presents two lacquered subdials—hours and minutes at 2 o’clock and a 45‑hour power reserve at 6 o’clock—set against a mesmerising sunburst blue base that replaces earlier “Legacy Machine” engravings for a cleaner aesthetic. At just 16 mm thick, the domed sapphire crystal and concave bezel showcase the three‑dimensional architecture while maintaining wearability. The movement’s darkened NAC bridges and superb anglage, visible through the display back, underscore the artisanal finishing collectors prize.
