The Omega Speedmaster First Omega in Space (ref. 310.32.40.50.06.001) is a modern tribute to the CK 2998 worn by astronaut Wally Schirra during the Mercury‑Atlas 8 mission in October 1962. Introduced in 2024, this 39.7 mm stainless steel chronograph faithfully echoes the second‑generation Speedmaster aesthetic with straight lugs, a “Dot Over Ninety” black aluminium tachymeter bezel, and a hesalite‑style domed sapphire crystal. Underneath, the manually wound Co‑Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 delivers a 50‑hour power reserve, METAS certification, and anti‑magnetic performance.
