Patek Philippe Calatrava 2526 Automatic, first self-winding watch made by Patek Philippe, this example is very rare as it is co signed by Gubelin and is accompanied by its original "brick" hand hammered Gay Freres bracelet made especially for Gubelin, the hand bracelet finishing is unique for this reference and was likely requested by someone at Gublin with a strong relationship with the Gay Freres bracelet manufacturer, the 18k yellow gold case is in incredible original condition and has had very little restoration in its life, the entire watch length is 6.85 inches, historically important Patek Philippe caliber 12-600AT movement, 30 jewels, rhodium-plated movement, since this a "first series" dial with the dimples, and is signed above the 6 o clock seconds counter by GUBELIN, the white porcelain enamel dial is in outstanding original condition with no cracks or hairlines, 18K yellow gold applied markers and hands, acrylic crystal, screw down caseback, Excellent Condition with Patek Philippe Box butterfly box and Archive Papers confirming the date of sale in September 1955. The watch was just completely serviced.
