The reference was tailored for scientific and technical professionals, highlighted by its anti-magnetic properties and robust four-piece waterproof case produced by Jean Vallon in Neuchatel. Inside, the manually wound caliber featured a gold or beryllium lever escapement, constructed to function reliably under magnetic influences of up to 450 oersted—a technical feat at the time. Only approximately 100 examples were produced, with fewer than 40 documented to survive, contributing to its significant rarity and desirability among collectors.
