Over time its original blue-black surface has warmed to rich brown tones, developing a patina entirely unique to this watch — no two tropical dials age alike, which makes this piece genuinely one of a kind. As an example of the founding Nautilus reference designed by Gérald Genta, it carries the hallmarks that made the model an icon: the porthole-inspired case, the rounded octagonal bezel with its lateral "ears," and the horizontally embossed dial, now beautifully transformed. Powered by the ultra-thin automatic calibre 28-255 C, it displays hours, minutes, and a date at three o'clock. The steel case measures 42mm across and just 7.5mm in thickness, remarkably slim for its wrist presence. A characterful, unrepeatable vintage Nautilus with a dial like no other.
