This is an 18K yellow gold Breguet Type XX Transatlantique, 3820 BA. It has a leather strap with an 18k yellow gold deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The chronograph has round pushbuttons and a fly back function, and the solid case back and crown are screwed down. The 39.5mm diameter solid three-body case, bi-directional revolving graduated reeded bezel, downturned lugs, solid case back, and reeded band are polished. The dial is black with applied luminous gold Arabic numeral hour markers and square indexes, a center chronograph hand, an outer minute track, and luminous gold baton hands. There is a subsidiary constant seconds dial at the 9 o'clock position, a 12-hour sub dial at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute register at 3 o'clock. It includes a date aperture window at 6 o'clock, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. It has a 48-hour power reserve, and the 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Breguet caliber 582Q movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and a shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 25 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The Type XX military-style wrist chronograph with a fly back function was first produced in 1954 for the French naval air force.
