The Roundup: the “Partnerships and Collaborations” Edition
The Roundup

Each week, EWC will be gathering horological industry news, cultural conversations and moments surrounding our favorite topic: timepieces. Happy Friday; here’s what’s on our watch.
As the spooky season comes to an end today on Halloween, we look forward to the holidays and of all the festivities and celebrations to come. There are new watch releases, new partnerships, and new collaborations afoot this week, so let’s leap right in.
Auction Season

As we head into the holidays, there’s something else to look forward to: auction season! Kicking off the auction announcements, Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo announced their sale of the personal watch collection of legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppolla at The New York Watch Auction: XIII, leading with his unique FFC Prototype by F.P. Journe. The piece, the result of a conversation between François-Paul Journe and Coppolla, is a one-of-one with an estimate in excess of $1 million. It is also the first and only Journe timepiece to be created based on an idea that did not come from F.P. Journe himself.
This grail of grails will be offered alongside six other timepieces from Coppolla’s personal collection in the December sale, taking place in New York City on December 6 and 7.
Partnerships

The intersection of sports and watches continues apace with the announcement of an official partnership between famed running back Saquon Barkley and independent watch brand H. Moser & Cie. The partnership initially arose from Barkley’s interest in the elegance of Moser’s timepieces, and developed through a shared appreciation for teamwork and excellence.

In Austin, TAG Heuer celebrated the grand opening of their Austin boutique with Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen, who wore the recently launched TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport | F1® Anniversary Limited Edition. The timepiece continues the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Formula 1 and is limited to 75 individually numbered pieces.

The first Miami Watch Summit will take place November 6-7 in the Miami Design District at the Moore Private Members Club. The Latest Releases

Parmigiani Fleurier released the latest in its Tonda PF collection, a Tonda PF Micro-Rotor in a no-date version, featuring a stainless steel and rose gold case and bracelet and a gorgeous stone blue dial. This version cleverly uses rose gold to accentuate core aspects of the Tonda PF design like the bezel, hands, and indices, giving a touch of warmth to both complement and contrast with the cooler blue tone of the dial. And without a date window, the expertise and craftsmanship in the dial finishing is on full display.

Marking 100 days before the start of the Winter Olympics 2026, OMEGA drops a new wintry Speedmaster 38mm. In honor of the brand’s continuing timing partnership with the Olympics, the Speedmaster 38 Milano Cortina 2026 Edition evokes fond memories of frosty landscapes and icy slopes, with a subtly patterned white-and-blue dial that looks a bit like a frozen pond, and contrasting dark blue hands, indices, numerals, and bezel. It’s enough to make you feel an anticipatory chill in the air.

Breguet continues its celebration of its 250th anniversary with two stunning pieces honoring its long history of high-end watchmaking and exquisite finishing techniques, the Breguet Classique 7225 and Breguet Classique 7235. The 7225 is a return of a technical innovation that it introduced in 2013 in the Chronometrie 7727, featuring a high-frequency 10Hz movement that relies on timekeeping’s (usually) mortal enemy, magnetism, for greater accuracy, in its new Calibre 74SC.

The 7235 followed quickly after the 7225, featuring a more traditional dial arrangement that goes all the way back to some of their earliest pocket watches. It features an updated version of a thin automatic movement with an unusual off-center rotor placement, and the exhibition caseback displays that highly decorated movement for your viewing pleasure.
Both are presented in an elegant 18K Breguet gold case (the brand’s proprietary alloy) with a design language and finishing that is unmistakably Breguet.

The Armoury announced its latest collaboration with UNIMATIC with the Modello Cinque U5S-TA2 “10.15”. The Armoury is celebrating its 15th anniversary while UNIMATIC celebrates its 10th anniversary, and the two brands have reunited in celebration of both major milestones. The watch pulls inspiration from vintage racing watches, such as the checkered red and white outer track contrasting with the matte white dial, paired with a 36mm case size for a modern silhouette. The red ghost hands offer additional color and playfulness for a sporty yet utilitarian look.
