This is a platinum F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain Limited Edition 40MM CSD Dubai. It includes a platinum case with a green calfskin leather strap, a matching platinum tang buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. There is a screw down winding crown with a "Cordes de Marseille" grip ring and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws and engraved with "F.P. JOURNE - CHRONOMETRE SOUVERAIN – INV. FECIT. – PT 950," and a serial number. The 40mm diameter solid two-body case, curved lugs, and convex bezel are polished/satin. The dial is green with applied white gold Arabic numeral hour markers around a luminous white railroad-style perimeter minute/second track, and white gold Journe hour and minute hands. There is a recessed circular running small seconds subsidiary dial with white Arabic numerals and a white gold indicator hand with an "observatoire" counterbalance between 7 and 8 o'clock. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and there is a 56-hour power reserve at full wind. It includes a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) certification. The 8.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain Limited Edition 40MM CSD Dubai has a mechanical manual winding F.P. Journe caliber 1304 movement that's constructed of 18K rose gold including the base plate and bridges. The main plate features a guilloche grain d’orge (barleycorn) pattern, and the gold bridges are finished with Geneva stripes and polished beveled angles. It has twin barrels, 22 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a 4-arm balance with 4 adjustable timing weights, and the connecting train is hidden underneath the dial. The monometallic balance is adjusted in 6 positions, with a self-compensating free-sprung balance spring. The balance has four inertia weights, a flat Anachron micro-flamed spring, and mobile stud holders. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain Limited Edition 40MM CSD Dubai was released in 2020 in a limited edition to only 99 examples exclusively sold by the F.P. Journe Boutique in Dubai.
