This is an 18k yellow gold Vacheron Constantine Skeletonized 36004 J. It includes an alligator leather strap with an 18k yellow gold tang buckle and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a pull-out winding crown set with a sapphire cabochon and a snap down solid case back with hallmarks and a serial number. The 31mm diameter solid two-body case, curved lugs, and thin convex bezel, are polished. The gold dial is completely engraved with blued feuille leaf hour and minute hands and an outer engraved reserve with applied blued thin baton hour markers. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, it has a 31-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 4.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Vacheron Constantine Skeletonized 36004 J has a mechanized manual wind caliber 1006 ultra-thin movement, which is a caliber 1003 ebauche reversed so the back of the movement faces the dial. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes and cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, 117 components, and it has the hallmark of the quality seal of Geneva. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a shock absorber device, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions. To maintain a thinner mechanism, the pallet lever is on a lower level than the fork horn, as are the pivots and jewels. Also adding to the thin movement is the lack of an impulse roller, and the impulse jewel is placed directly into the balance arms. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz). The Vacheron Constantine Skeletonized 36004 J was originally released in 1989.
