Lange & Söhne reference 414.028 is the 1815 Chronograph in white gold with a black dial — the more stealthy, high-contrast face of Lange's classical chronograph, and the first time the 1815 Chronograph wore the white-metal-and-black-dial pairing that had until then belonged to the Datograph. Driving it is the hand-wound calibre L951.5, a column-wheel flyback chronograph with a precisely jumping minute counter, hand-finished and shown through the sapphire back. A pulsometer scale rings the dial, a vintage graduation for reading a pulse over thirty beats. The 18k white gold case measures 39.5mm in height and width with a thickness of 11mm, framed by Lange's notched, gently downturned lugs. The solid-silver black dial carries white Arabic numerals, twin registers and a needle chronograph hand that reaches to its edge.
