Omega 2998 - 1 Speedmaster with Lolipop Seconds Hand, 29981, 2998-1, the 2998 is the second generation speedmaster introduced after the 2915, this example is part of the first batch of 2998s produced, this model is not only "pre moon" but is also "pre space," stainless steel case is in excellent condition for its age and has likely been detailed in the past, 7077 omega bracelet with small clasp dated 2/1960 and 6 end links, iconic omega caliber 321 movement, jet black dial is in outstanding original condition with original radium in very clean condition, all luminous material on the dial appears to be original, bright and unaltered, all dauphine dagger hands appear to be original to the watch, extremely charming lolipop seconds hand making this a rarer variant of the 2998, base 1000 bezel, nyad "mercedes" crown, dust cover, serial circa 1960 size 39.5mm, thickness 13mm, Outstanding original condition and very historically important reference. The watch was purchased from a good friend, and famous Omega scholar.
