Description
Rolex 6536 Submariner 6536/1, 6536-1, circa 1956, a very early "James Bond" submariner example, the stainless steel case is in excellent condition and has been detailed in the past, Rolex stretch rivet bracelet fits a 6.25in wrist and its clasp is dated 2/57 with 64 end links, the dial on this 6536 is in incredible original condition and has aged evenly over time, the radium luminous plots are all full bold and intact which is very rare to find, the gilt printing of the Rolex signature and chapter ring are bright and vibrant, 6 o clock marker is original, the hands are also original and very clean and match the dial perfectly, dial reads 100m = 330ft, original no hash bezel, original brevet crown, screw down caseback is engraved "MGA", Serial Number (155,XXX)is hard to read as bracelet wear has worn down the numbers, size 38.5mm, thickness 12.2mm, Incredibly important reference in original condition. Early Rolex Submariners have been increasing in value drastically over the past 5 years. This reference is staple in any discerning collection.
