This Patek Philippe 5970J stands as the last of the maison's Lemania-based perpetual calendar chronographs, the closing chapter of the celebrated line running from the 1518 through the 2499 and 3970, and the rarest of the four metals in which the 5970 was cast, its yellow gold made for barely a year. The 18K yellow gold case measures 40mm across and 12.9mm thick, its naturally extended lugs giving real presence without heaviness.
